Well, one of the great things about this book is its discussability and even if the story and Mitchell himself point in one direction, it doesn’t mean the truth is set in stone. It feels like David Mitchell was trying too hard, but I think this language makes sense for the type of society he’s portraying in this last story. First of all, I loved this book.
